Informed Designs Shaped Loose Ring Lozenge Snaffle/Bradoon
This bit works easily as a snaffle bit or a bradoon; rings are slightly smaller than typical snaffle loose ring bit.
The mouth piece is 12mm thick which creates a light and slender mouthpiece to compliment the conformation of the horse’s mouth. Both branches of the mouthpiece are curved forward to follow the line of the tongue. The lozenge is the same diameter as the mouthpiece creating an even wraparound inside the mouth. The advantage to a loose ring cheek is that because the mouthpiece runs loose on the cheek the horse can move the bit pressure off the tongue more easily and the signals that the rider gives have a slight delay before the mouthpiece activates. This premium, stainless steel bit is currently in stock in the sizes shown above.
Informed Bitting Collection from Abbey Bits is a subdivision of Abbey of England. This collection of uniquely shaped, thin bits were designed to give optimum fit and comfort and to help prevent several issues, such as pushing the bit and getting the tongue over the bit. These beautifully finished and accurately made bits have also been tested and well received by trainers throughout the Southeast U.S.
