Sprenger Bemelmans Curb Bit; 14mm Thick; 7cm Shafts

From Sprenger of Germany (best of the best!), this is a newer model curb bit, the Bemelmans, and is becoming quite popular.  the centerpiece is 14mm thick, in aurigan or sensogan, and is smooth and rounded in a way that is adapted to the sensitive palatal arch.  The acceptance of this bit results in a soft and even dsistribution of pressure across the tongue.  It is also much harder for the horse to get its tongue over the bit.  This model has 7cm (more common) stainless shafts, and we also stock it with 5cm shafts.

Sizes are transposed:

4.5" = 115mm

5" = 125mm

5.5" = 135mm (between 5.25 and 5.5"; closer to 5.5")

5.75" = 145mm
